# Clawd and the Hat Box — a 16-second trailer for Clawd Arcade

Logline: Clawd wants to know what's in a mysterious box that drops onto the desk. But every hat inside flings him into a
game world, so he tries them and ends up crowned king of his own arcade.

World: a wooden desk in warm afternoon light (paper, ochre, clay). The ink-spell night (indigo, violet) and the paper
meadow (sky, sap) are hat worlds. It comes back to the desk warmer at sunset (rose, ochre). The colours run
warm → cold night → bright day → warmest.

Motif: the box. It drops in, pops a hat out, swallows the band hat back, and pops the crown last.

Clawd's arc: bored → surprised → curious → idea (wizard hat) → determined → proud → excited (band hat) → laugh →
starstruck (crown) → dancing.

1.5–2.2 Clawd's surprised take, then curiosity
2.2–3.0 Clawd walks to the box
3.1–3.8 the lid pops and the wizard hat arcs onto Clawd's head

B 4.2–8.4 [in: brush wipe in indigo/violet] ink night · the EVENT: three ink blots crawl in, and Clawd draws a
circle of light around himself · the blots bounce off and pop into splats · Clawd is proud
reads: 4.4–5.5 blots crawl in from both sides (Clawd determined, looking at them)
5.6–6.3 Clawd raises an arm and a circle draws itself around him
6.3–7.2 the blots hit the circle, bounce back and burst
            7.2–7.8 proud, spark
C 8.4–12.4 [in: match cut — the circle grows into an iris that opens on the day sky] paper meadow · the EVENT:

            10.8–11.4 excited
11.5–12.2 the wind takes the band up and off to the left (Clawd looks after it)
D 12.4–16.0 [in: whip-pan smear from the left] the desk again, at sunset · the EVENT: the band drops back into the
box, the box pops the crown, Clawd is crowned and dances
reads: 12.5–13.0 the band falls into the box
13.1–13.9 the crown rises out and settles on Clawd
13.9–15.3 starstruck, then a dance with music
[out: iris closes on Clawd, the way it opened]

Checks: there's an event in every shot, and the reads are sequential. There's a transition at every seam (iris, brush wipe, match
iris, whip pan, iris). There's no text anywhere. The ending rhymes with the opening (same desk, same box, and the iris opening
and closing).
